Chad Peterson is passionate about customer service, and he’s in our Employee Spotlight this month! Chad focuses on creating connections with the people he serves in every position he’s ever held, from his first job delivering newspapers at age 12, to his 25+ years in the restaurant industry, to his current role as a Financial Solutions Guide in our Contact Center.
Fresh from the restaurant world, Chad originally applied for a job at Elevations that he says, “I had no hope of getting!” We called him up, and talked him through other opportunities within his reach, including his current role.
Chad started his career at Elevations a year and a half ago. With training and on-the-job shadowing, Chad has become one of the most successful representatives in our Contact Center and now offers guidance to new employees.
His key to success? Creating relationships with our members, much like he did in the restaurant industry. “If you build a relationship from the beginning, your focus can consistently be on the member and what their needs are,” says Chad. “I listen intently to what the member is saying and offer good advice to provide them with the most success.”
“When I’m on the phone, I’m not just talking to a member. I’m talking to another person who just wants to improve their life.”
What does Chad love about Elevations? “It’s all about the people here. Elevations lets me take care of the members, and Elevations also takes care of its own staff. Everything else falls into place because we have a great culture with an emphasis on work-life balance. I am constantly surrounded by people who are happy to be at work.”
Chad’s work-life balance includes foodie adventures in his free time. Chad and his wife love watching “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and then visiting restaurants that have been featured on the show. His favorite? The Skirted Heifer, a small burger joint in Colorado Spring.
