Natalie Haskell is our Employee Spotlight for this month, and boy does she live the true Colorado life! Natalie spends as much of her time in the great outdoors as possible; from snow shoeing, hiking, camping and skiing! Every year, Natalie and her husband (with a group of friends) build an authentic igloo deep inside Rocky Mountain National Park and sleep in it. (It’s a balmy 35°!) When asked why she enjoys this, Natalie shared “As a former Californian, this was an intriguing concept I had never ever considered until my husband invited me to join in the fun soon after we started dating. I found it to be a unique mental, physical, and social challenge that is always a little different from year to year.”
Natalie says her favorite part about the whole crazy adventure is relaxing in the igloo after a long day of building and enjoying a gourmet dinner and wine with friends. She also has done a few other obscure activities like making cheese and wine from scratch, taking a plunge in an isolation tank, indoor skydiving, and riding in a glider.
At Elevations, Natalie spends her time ensuring our Payroll and Benefits are accurate and timely. She also teaches our new employees how to set up their benefits, and supports the credit union when they have questions on either of these functions. Natalie also devotes her time to making our Wellness Committee great, and is passionate about fundraising, and volunteering to support Elevations’ Foundation. “I like working here because – it’s a good company. We aren’t owned by a bigger entity. I love that we all know our CEO and executive leaders. Elevations provides flexible scheduling, and really encourages true work-life balance. They have great benefits too, and I enjoy being able to share this with our employees,” says Natalie.
