Make managing your money as easy as possible with Elevations online banking. We’ve created quick video tutorials to show you how to do some of the most common tasks in online banking, including how to set up account alerts, external transfers, bill pay and more. Whether you’re new to online banking or just looking to use online banking more, check out our three tips below for simple step-by-step instructions.
How to Set Up Account Alerts
Managing your money is easier than ever after you set up email and text message alerts. Alerts allow you to automatically check your balance, view account activity and remind you of upcoming payments.
To set up alerts, log in to online banking and hover over Additional Services in the blue navigation bar. Click “Set Account Alerts,” enter your email address and/or phone number and click “Activate.”
Next, click “Add an alert” and select the types of alerts you’d like to set up. Then click the email or text message boxes to decide how you would like to receive each specific alert. On this screen, you can also edit the frequency of how often you’d like to receive each alert. Hover over the alert and click “More Options” to customize the alert or “Remove” to disable it.
Remember that alerts are not immediate but are sent a maximum of three times per day.
How to Set Up External Transfers
Transfer money to your external accounts by logging in to your Elevations online banking account. Hover over the Transfers tab and select “To Your External Accounts.” Read the Terms of Service, check the box and click “Sign up now!” For security purposes, you will need to validate your email address with an access code we will email you.
Next, select “Add a New Account” and then select the account type using the drop-down menu. Enter the routing and account numbers of the account you’d like to transfer to and click “Next.” To verify your external account, click “Send me two deposits” at the bottom of the page. You can expect the deposits to reach your external account in 1-2 days; they will expire after 30 days if you do not verify them as stated in the next section. Log in to your external account to verify the transfer’s success.
After the deposits have been posted, return to the Transfers tab in online banking and select “To Your External Accounts.” Click on “Accounts” under the Settings menu. Here, you can enter the two deposit amounts and click “Verify.” The external transfer account is now set up and ready to receive transfers from your Elevations accounts.
Once you’ve set up an external transfer account, you can schedule external transfers by visiting “To Your External Accounts” under the Transfers tab. From there, you can enter the transfer details, review them and click “Continue” to complete your transfer.
Please note: There is a minimum of $10 for external transfers.
How to Set Up Bill Pay
Never miss a payment again with bill pay. To get started, log in to online banking and click Bill Pay in the blue navigation bar. Enter the recipient’s name and click Add, then you will be prompted to enter the payee’s details and click Add payee. If you are paying multiple accounts, scroll down to the Add a payee section at the bottom of the page and repeat the previous steps.
Once you’ve entered all the payees’ information, enter the value of the payment and choose the date you would like to initiate the payment. After clicking Confirm, a success message will appear with your confirmation number. If you made a mistake when entering this information, don’t worry. You can click History to review the transaction and modify or cancel the payment.
